Joseph M. Cormier, PhD, PE
- Dr. Cormier has a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering and works in the fields of Biomechanics and Injury Causation Analysis. His consulting practice currently focuses on, but is not limited to, Product Liability and General Negligence issues involving automobile collisions, tractor trailers, railroad incidents, industrial incidents, and other related issues.
- Dr. Cormier joined BRC in 2003 after completing his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic University. Since completing his Doctorate, he has remained active in performing research with Virginia Tech in addition to the research performed at BRC. He has published papers on injury epidemiology in car crashes, rollover injury causation, thoracic injury tolerance and facial biomechanics.
