Biomechanics & Injury Causation Analysis
  • Dr. Whit McConnell is an Aerospace Medicine Physician with investigative and testifying experience in the fields of Biomechanics and Injury Causation Analysis. His consulting practice currently focuses on, but is not limited to, Product Liability and General Negligence cases involving serious automobile, heavy vehicle and tractor trailer collisions, industrial mishaps, and many other types of injury causing events.

  • Dr. McConnell joined BRC in 1990 after a 23 year career as a flight surgeon with the United States Air Force (USAF). His experience included responsibilities for performing, teaching and overseeing USAF accident investigations for both air and ground vehicular mishaps and industrial accidents throughout his career. His position at retirement was as the Chief Flight Surgeon for the Air Force. While working at BRC, Dr. McConnell participated in and directed several in-house sponsored pioneering studies of the occupant kinematics of live human test subjects during low velocity test collisions. This work, over the years, has been reported in a number of peer reviewed papers and has been replicated and accepted by other researchers in the field.
