Biomechanics & Injury Causation Analysis
  • Dr. Jim Raddin has degrees in Medicine and Engineering and works in the fields of Biomechanics and Injury Causation Analysis. He is currently accepting new assignments on a “Consulting Expert” basis only, and primarily related to automotive rollovers, side impacts and aviation incidents.

  • Dr. Raddin joined BRC in 1988 after a career with the United States Air Force (USAF) where he conducted human accelerations effects and impact protection research and served as vice commander of the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine. He has been a consultant to NASCAR in injury causation analysis and occupant protection in high speed crashes. Dr. Raddin has authored or co-authored treatises on human impact protection in the technical literature and for NATO, FAA, NASA and three editions of the textbook, “Fundamentals of Aerospace Medicine”.
