William R. “Mike” Scott, PhD

• Dr. Mike Scott has a PhD degree in Engineering and works in the fields of Biomechanics and Injury Causation Analysis. His consulting practice currently focuses on, but is not limited to, Product Liability and General Negligence issues involving automobile collisions, tractor trailers, industrial incidents, railroad incidents, and other related issues.


• Prior to joining BRC in 1989, Dr. Scott worked as a research engineer with KRUG International. In this capacity, his work included research in aircrew systems and technologies, acceleration effects, and breathing systems. He has also managed the Engineering Test Laboratory at Scott Aviation in Lancaster, NY. Dr. Scott completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the State University of New York Physiology Department where he performed tests that evaluated respiratory systems of human test subjects.
